The food was good and the portion was quite big, so it's great if you like to eat a lot. The price is reasonable and the service in general was good. It's not a BYOD place

Saturday sancocho was heavenly...saved my life after an eventful Friday night and the salmon style "Donde Mi Ama" was delish. ...

Went last night. Is a small place, but cute. We were a large group and they were able to accommodate us. At first the service was a little slow, because the night shift was coming in and they were changing. -Food: it was good nothing crazy. The portions were perfect enough for one person -appetizers: I didn't like the empanadas...it had more potatoes than anything . The chicharon was delicious -drinks:the weren't strong. And the prices were 12 and up -cleanness: the bathrooms were always clean while we were there -ATMOSPHERE WAS THE CHERRY ON TOP.

Best Colombian food I've tasted in a while. I live in NYC and coming to Elizabeth, NJ for this is soo absolutely worth it! Not a fan of their "Soda-Beer but all the food was bomb! I highly recommend it.

I love this place ! Such a traditional place to eat Colombian food and of course .... GUARO!!! There’s a new Aguardiente called CUMBE AGUARDIENTE, and I enjoyed the cocktail they have on the menu called “MARACUMBE” . This is a must try! Amigos vayan a probar el coctel “MARACUMBE” - solamente en Donde mi Ama ! Muy buen lugar

It's always a great time at Donde Mi ama, a trendy Colombian food eatery. The staff, the entire staff, security included iz always friendly and welcoming and beautiful, men included. The food is DELICIOUS! Everytime. Calamari is a great starter although it can be a little crunchier, the season that they use is similar to a cajun spice. When the food is presented it is wrapped in plastic to cover from the servers carrying from kitchen to table. I also had the Sancocho with beef and chicken. It came with a side of white rice and mixed salad all for 10. The only hiccup we had was with a burger we ordered. The description didn't mention ham slice and we had to have the burger remade because of an allergy. They remade it without a problem and apologized. We packed our burger to go and were given lids for our sauces. The gratuity is automatically added still double check but we always leave a little extra for the great service.
